Yeah yeah, I know I said I'd post like weekly or something but this damn school work is keeping me not only from posting but from playing Zelda. Which is all I really want to do for the weekend but alas, no. The weekend must be taken up not only by two variations of math (and a hefty amount of each) but also by servlet coding.
Oddly enough, I like to code. But I'm like, 4 days behind schedule with CSNS already locked.
That's what's brought me down this past week. Knowing what to do project-wise, but not enough time to do it in cause it took me 3 days longer than what I expected to get out of my Summertime Schedule of eating, sleeping and working on leveling up my rogue :P
As for leveling my rogue, I haven't played WoW in about 2 months now, I got a bit of Zelda in on the drive up to Cerritos with my folks but as for playing Zelda, uh, not much. I think 2 weeks passed before I got back to that dungeon -_-;
As you can tell from my music list, I've been sticking to the programming mix... Sad part about that is since I do enjoy fast playing music, I can also sleep while it plays... you can see where I'm going with this. I'm not really wasting time in front of the screen, it's just that I'm working rather slowly :P
*sigh* I wish I could just reboot CS320.
First homework, HW Zero, I got a zero on because I completely forgot to turn in the text file with the unix commands to do basic crap I know. Second homework, that got delayed until last wednesday due to a stupid error in my for-loop (it's NOT more than) and the third one was DUE wednesday but it's still in my head and not in code form.
Yeah, this quarter's been crap. And if I don't recover from this I'll be two quarters behind from graduating. And that's bad.

Looking at digg I always wonder why it is that I keep going back to that cesspool of blogs and rehashed comics. Seriously, I'm tired of looking at the same comics I've seen years ago...
Another thought occurred to me and that was why do I keep this blog? I mean, is it really worth it to have an online presence that might be looked at negatively in someone's eyes?
The best answer I have is that I don't mind keeping this blog. I don't care who sees it because I don't do it for them. I do this not only for myself as a pseudo diary kinda thing, but also for my friends who might be curious as to what I write in regards to things that happen around me whether or not it affects or involves them.. plus, it gives me a place to vent. (-_-)/~
Another reason I keep this out is due to that whole christian thing about being an open book... people know me for being straightforward to a fault. Not that I lack tact but it's just that I say what I think with little to no sugar coating. And this blog is an extension of me albeit in a more organized and legible way that makes more sense that what I say... that's what I hope for at least :P
About that christian thing, you know, the one about "keeping your testimony" and all that jazz. I'm a firm believer that it is also a way of ministering to people mainly because I'm not the kind to approach people for any reason, let alone to tell them about Christ @.@ especially since I have a rather liberal approach to a variety of things...
Like I was once asked my feelings/point of view towards the whole gay marriage issue with the whole gay thing intrinsically included.
I said that I don't mind gays, as long as they do not develop romantic feelings for me since no matter how non-straight I may seem, I don't swing that way. Oh, and I dislike flamers with an ironic burning passion due to the airheadedness they display and the stupid way of speaking they share. It gets on my nerves. Not that it's entirely their fault. I just can't stand it.
Gay marriage... what's the point? That kind of stuff is easily done through the clever use of lawyers, power of attorney and wills. Seriously.
Don't. Be. Lazy.
If all of you of the gay persuasion want to have the same kind of rights as those that get married then find ways to do it other than pushing the gay marriage agenda. I find it kinda like that last couple showing up at city hall to get their marriage license two minutes before they close without their paperwork filled out and asking someone to break a $20 for the meter...
And all you hardcore christians that have gotten flustered all I have to say is this.
We are not the judge.
So STFU and GBTW.

In preparation to setting up my desk with my Powerbook, I've seen the need to acquire external drives. This idea first came from the question of what was I going to do with the drives in my tower. One is a PATA and the other's a SATA. So I thought about getting enclosures and figured I might as well get SATA II enclosures with Firewire 800 ports since that's the only port on my Powerbook that would go unused.
First option, is this one since it has both FW and USB. but at $140, it made me look for something cheaper since I'd still need to get the drives and I'm aiming for either 500GB or 750GB drives.
Second option, this one , does the same thing as the first one except that it's FW800 only and it's $130.
Then there's the third option and that's to just buy a LaCie....

It's currently hooked up to my tower running XP Pro (yes, it's legit), but since it has both a VGA plug and a DVI one, the DVI is hooked up to my Powerbook. And I can switch between them at the push of a button :D
And now for specs: 22" Widescreen 1680x1050, 700:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, viewing angles comparable to my Powerbook, and a dinky little 1.3 megapixel webcam on the bezel, like a Macbook :P
Overall, I'm rather happy with it, although sometimes I feel my Powerbook feels taxed by running both it and the Viewsonic....
Well, we'll see how it fares when it becomes a permanent part of the Powerbook when I get a MacBook Pro in the next refresh.
