The Double Entendre ~Pervyless Version~

So I wound up reading this one manga series called "Girlfriend" and it got me thinking...

See the thing is that in that series, since it's a bunch of individual stories with a common theme (i.e. girlfriend), the story would be done from the point of the view of the guy and the relationship he had with a girl. But in the section aptly named 'Boyfriend' it's told from the point of view of the girl. The girl in this story is the pretty, cute, popular girl in the class who winds up going out with the nerd of the class. She's head over heels for him and even though she's been dumped, by the nerd no less, twice even, she discovers just why he did so and why he took her back after he dumped her when she demanded an answer as to why he hadn't slept with her...

"No one has any idea what's going on in the characters' heads. The reader kept on tenterhooks until the last page. The whole situation is packed with nail-bitting suspense. The tention build up is superb" she said as she was packing up Silence Of The Lambs along with the rest of the stuff she had borrowed from him.

"If we skip to the end abruptly, there won't be any tension buildup. Things won't be exiting, right?"

With this he took her back.

And the other stories also got me thinking...

The girl who only wants to kiss...
The girl who's a nympho...
The girl who doesn't want a relationship but only sex...

Considering the stories one might not expect the author to be female and a recently married one at that. -_-;

At the end of reading all the chapters that were available I wound up asking myself...

Do I really want a girlfriend?
Or am I just longing for the affection?

...

Or maybe I'm just naive?

I think it's yes on both counts. The companionship aspect and then the need for that physicallity. It's a question that gets asked though by all of us.
