Last Odometer Reading

___________

If you're wondering how it happened, well, going up Corporate Center Dr. on my way home from school last tuesday ~1:30pm, as I approached the middle of the first corner, my tail slid out causing me to not only loose control, but caused the car to massively oversteer. No amount of counter-steering would've been enough to correct it.

So I headed for the curb nearly perpendiculat to it. My front-left tire (driver side) was the one to hit the curb. It popped. Amusingly though, the rim suffered no damage other than the obvious mud on it.

I then bounced off a tree with the front bumper which ripped off my front license plate (I recovered it, btw), smothered the radiator fan into the radiator, broke the clutch cable, and snapped the front right side of the chassis from the bumber. The headlights and right corner light shattered from having the top of the bumper section smashing upwards into them.
Oh, and it seems one of the motor mounts are still good...

Then my car proceeded to straighten out and run over a 'No Parking' sign finally resting about a meter past the sign with the three good tires in the brush on the curb and the other one on the street. And if it wasn't for the sign the MPKPD wouldn't've had to fill out a report and subsequently issue a Notice To Appear for 'Unsafe Speed' and 'Uninsured Motorist'.

He was nice and all but never got out of his patrol car. He told me that I would be getting a letter in the mail explaining the procedure. He also gave me the report number and the yellow copy of the Notice To Appear. Not only that he told me another thing. A very important thing.

Worst case scenario: License suspension for 6 months

*sigh*

Because of the damage to the transmission I've decided not to fix it since it wouldn't be worth it but rather sell the car and use the money as a down payment on another car. Prefferably a GTS coupe of the same year. Oh, and insurance. Definetly gonna spring for that next time.

In case anybody wonders if a car like that is sellable, yes. Yes it is. Me pop has already mentioned two potential buyers for it. Eventhough they only want it for the engine :P
But for the moment, the car is sitting outside my place of residence if you feel any desires to quench the rubbernecker in you.

Because of this, I can't really make it to BCPC in the morning and I've already let Harris know that I'm gonna drop the class. I mean, I can get there early, just not before eight. It's more along the lines of like 8:15-8:55.

I've also broken down and decided that the influx of money is more important that my obstinate desire to not work in a job that has anything to do with food. If all goes well, I'll be working in the Carl's Jr. at school, as a cook so you guys can't see me :P
